       Just heard someone refer to the recent Patriot Front demonstration as "legitimizing an alternative authority" and while i already thought of political demonstrations in this way i think that's a nicely succinct way of putting it.You have no to right to state power if you can't enforce power on the streets or demonstrate your alternative authority before the public. Before the people grant legitimacy to your proposed authority you must first convince them of your ability to actually project it, hence the Patriot Front style demonstrations.Those aren't simply marches or banner drops etc, it's power projection.I know this may seem like an obvious observation but you'd be surprised at how many retards and cowards genuinely don't understand this.
