Also pretty much all the points made are innacurate.The moderation feature I added: moderators couldn’t do anything before. Literally no server had moderators, because they can’t do anything more than a normal user. So I let moderators be able to do some things admins can do, including read DMs. Some people get triggered by that, but the reality is that DMs are stored in plain text. This broke nothing else and only added more options. If you don’t want moderators to read DMs, don’t make people moderators, then you’re keeping the same behavior as the it is now. Fully backwards compatible.“Just add extra fields”: Not as easy as you think. I did end up adding an MRF though (plus modifying one made by Rinpatch). Now the replies and quotes are fully backwards compatible. The large Soapbox servers (Poast and Spinster) now run these MRFs as a courtesy, but if you always want it then you can enable the MRF on your own server. If either party has the MRF enabled, backwards compatibility is restored.In conclusion, nothing burger.

Ironically the latest version of Pleroma FE (which improves the situation greatly for posts without the MRF) strips the space when the MRF is enabled. Older versions of Pleroma FE actually work fine, and so do all other Mastodon clients. I can’t add an extra space in the MRF without messing things up on the other clients, so I kinda want it to be fixed on Pleroma FE. But our relationship is a bit rocky.

@alex wrote the code, and he said it was unnecessarily hard to do, so he did it his own way.I ain’t gonna cry, what he made works and I don’t see nay problems with it. I don’t get why this new feature is worth starting beef over, he’s added backwards compatibility anyways, fixing y’all’s complaints.At a certain point, you have to stop thinking about the code, and start using the code. I can see why how he did what he did might be agonizing from your perspective looking at the code, but in how it works, especially with the backwards compatibility, there isn’t really anything to complain about

And everybody now realizing how terrible the 90s democrat wasn't for the country.Strategically it might be beneficial for other candidates. @louisrcouture I'm less likely to judge someone on if they are bipolar than if they **act** like they are bipolar. If a person has made irrational decisions int he pat then yes this is a problem, but if they are bipolar and have acted rationally and responsibly in the past i wont force them to medicate just as a matter of course.@realcaseyrollins
