       @redwhitebluedude Crenshaw is an interesting character. He chooses battles that he can't win and are pointless, like getting into arguments on twitter and snapping at obnoxious constituents. Also, at this point, his criticism of Trump is gratuitous.At the same time, his voting record is solid and I do like reading his perspective.His district is safe deep red so the GOP can easily defeat him and still win in the general. Still, I am ambivalent about him. He does need discipline

       @redwhitebluedude I don't think Crenshaw lacks seriousness. In fact, he is somewhat too serious. He doesn't know when to stop talking and just let the trolling twitter goons aloneHis ambivalence about Trump and Trump voters, even now, is played out publicly. Since he treats all topics with equal seriousness, he can come across as a temperamental crank.He is intense and smart. I would like to see him reelected because he provides a different voice. But he is in real trouble in the primaries

       @timr @redwhitebluedude As I am a full-time volunteer in the Harris Co GOP HQ, I talk to a LOT of Republicans.  Crenshaw is roundly disliked right now, but only one of the 3 challengers (Ellis) is a serious contender.
