For IT geeks out there... I am working on a new project to build all new infrastructure for several applications. Simply put all new servers for these applications. Why? Because the VMWARE host hardware is being retired. Pardon me? Why not migrate those VMs to new clusters?After all that is a core feature of using virtual infrastructure right?Apparently NOT where I work.. The team that manages this technology is over 20 years behind!

@Nobody I wrote an app in 1999 that a good friend runs his business on to this day and it lives happily in a Windows 2003 server VM. Every 4 or 5 years, his IT support team decides that it must go and I’m brought in for a meeting to prove they are stupid…

@PineTreeFlag @Bryan Thats what I use 9o% of the time XP, like now. It is a hardened,locked down version.. Still works really well, super fast, a few websites hard, b/c of browser issues, I use MyPal 28 for browser... and Chrome 53
