       The other day, for the first time while reading "The Will to Power" I pieced together the suspicion that Neitzsche's vision of the Unbermensch was not limited to the human realm. In fact, at times it seems to be something wholly divorced from humanity. Neitzsche seems to have thought that evolution advanced by quantum leaps rather than by gradual/linear progression. This matches J.F. Gariepy's "Revolutionary Phenotype". J.F. fears it. Neitzsche thinks it man's highest calling to midwife it.

       @JimmyMarr I have always liked Nietszche and I do hope he was not a bloviating midwit like Gariepy in person. Although he would have a podcast if he lived again.

       @harrison_partch What is "it"?I strongly suspect "it" is either CRISPR or the potential outputs of CRISPR. So, do we object to the use of CRISPR on moral grounds or accept the reality that its use by our biological enemies is inevitable and do everything in our power to strike the first blow? The danger, of course, is that we could become enslaved to the technology we attempt to exploit.
