@UncleAlbie @trwnh Guess it all depends on w/ level of decision.The known biases of a programmer integrated into their software - yet they nor others held accountable for decisions/mistakes.Example: The Innocence Project claims up to 5% of those on Death Row are innocent people.Consider how much faith we put in flawed #biometrics #AI, how often it makes mistakes in identifying suspects. How this technology is yet still upheld in new court precedents.I see danger over the long term.

@UncleAlbie @trwnh If the flaws are not proven it becomes hard to hold the person in charge of the software accountable.And AI enables purposeful flaws to be built in, covertly (like a "bug").I see real danger there when the programmer can essentially use any datasets they choose to create something flawed/sold that bypasses traditional responsibility.And that's just my take on it.Would be nice if people w/held responsible, I just don't see infrastructure/regulation for that today.
