MORNING WORKOUT: KARATEForms and drills - 40 minutes Aaaand that's about it.I've been doing karate for a couple months now, and I gotta say, it's a bit goofy but pretty solid. Sure, you have to do kata and half of the class is half your size, but there's regular sparring, consistent drilling, and weapons training *is* included. There's always a bunch of kids there training alongside regular adults, and they end up looking up to you like you're some sort of hero or something for doing karate with them. Might as well be called "everything that isn't Judo class." Feels good fam.

Do you have an opinion on systema as a martial art discipline? I know a lot of people think it’s fake. Seems interesting to me.

Systema is in the same category in my mind as Krav Maga. Good in theory, hard to pull off in practice. One thing that Systema schools have over KM schools tho is they do emphasize normal striking more. If you found a Systema school that regularly sparred, you'd likely be in good hands.
