What are some interesting decentralised websites?#IPFS, #ZeroNet, #Hypercore etc..Particularly https://hypercore-protocol.org/ . I think append-only logs are a good feature as they ensure that no one can scrub information from history if people have the link like https://ipfs.io/ , but still be able to update information.

@silverpill Nice idea, but search doesn't work over ipfs, at least for me.

@Hyolobrika Twister is "the fully decentralized P2P microblogging platform leveraging from the free software implementations of Bitcoin and BitTorrent protocols." It uses a blockchain but is not mining BTC.What might be most significant about Twister is that it's a working, tested, active (if smaller) platform - and the founder has walked away. Anyone with the code skills can fork it and move forward.http://twister.net.co

@Hyolobrika OK, so you have a website an make a torrent of all the files. All of the links on the website are magnet links that go to other torrented website files. The only issue is that you have to build the entire internet and all of the links ahead of time and you can never change anything.

@NoOneSpecial No. See https://hypercore-protocol.org/, https://docs.ipfs.io/concepts/ipns/, and mutable torrents.

@Hyolobrika @NoOneSpecial libtorrent 2 or something implemented mutable torrents. Never seen them in practice, never tried to do one myself, but still interesting.

@Hyolobrika no, no. What I described is my proposal for a new system. The benefit is that you don't need to create a new protocol. The downside is that it is completely impractical and unusable.
