Sometimes they put 1 newline after the mentions, sometimes 2. Some people actually push all the mentions to the bottom except the first user they’re replying to. If a Soapbox user wants to add mentions to the front of their post, it should be valid, and it should display the same way they wrote it. Mentions are part of the way users express themselves, and I think it is actually more disempowering to modify a user’s post than it is to send remote messages without mentions at the front.

Nothing shows in the body, everything is fine.The ISSUE is when a soapbox user shows up in a large hellthread and then creates this annoying inconsistancy with mentions and shit, where soapbox users just strip all the mentions completely, while pleromer's will undo what soapbox users do if replied back. If this is a feature we want to implement, why did we have to shit on backwards compatibility?

@alex @neko The only feature I can think of that annoys me in principle is how user blocks hide posts two-way instead of one-way. Block means "I don't want to see your posts by default" and with rare exceptions I only use it on people who flood a thread with pedoshit to flex about how they won't get banned for doing it. I don't care if people I block can continue to see how based and redpilled I am while their shock image spam stays out of my sight, but it's annoying when some manchild blocks me because his butt hurts and that makes a thread's context difficult to follow. Even if I have blocked someone, I may still want to temporarily unhide their posts in the unlikely event that they stopped throwing a tantrum long enough to add some context to a thread. I can sort of do this now to a degree but it's a bit awkward.The other petty nuisance is when people link to threads in a way that pulls me off of SPC. It's always a bit of a hassle to navigate around that.
