       I'm viewing a fork on GitHub and it says "This branch is up to date with master." even though there's a huge commit from 2020 and the original project's last commit was 2016.

       @volpeon isn't that... right, though? If the fork has a commit in 2020 and the original master was last committed to in 2016, the fork is most likely up to date with the 2016 master.
