Well, I guess that was it. I thought it was from my exposure to cedar pollen (see video on poast) ... but then, that was over 2 weeks ago. 'Cedar fever' is really a thing here in south Texas.Been feeling kinda shitty for 3 or 4 days. Probably running a fever, since I felt cold unless I cranked up the thermostat to 75. Still coughing up a lot of mucus. But, really, that was it? I'm 72, and it was supposed to kill me. It is a bad cold. (popping vitamin C like M&Ms, staying hydrated, no horse paste, seeing doctor on Tuesday)

What you experienced is the typical omicron experience, some people also get headaches or stiff necks and body aches. Only 25% get fevers. We just passed the peak here in King County and ZERO deaths attributed to it. There were a few in the beginning but they were trailing Delta's I'm pretty sure.

Just an update, past the peak there were a handful of deaths but the death rate was .017%, or about 1/5th that of your average flu season.

Delta and Omicron are NOT the same animal. Here in King County, the death rate for people testing positive (many never tested so death rate is actually lower) for Delta was 1.4%, for Omicron .017%. Omicron is a head cold for all intents and purposes.
