@KarePatriot @SomeLadyinVA Good luck. All the vets around here are nuts. The livestock vets are fine. The others (and we've been to several) are about half as smart as the dogs we take to them and 1/10th as rational.

@Phil OH no! That stinks! This is the first time in our lives we do not have animals. Had a farm in Ohio before moving here with quite a menagerie! I have no experience with vets in NY. Well, if you cannot find another, Lisa, I hope your dog can wait till you move. Perhaps Texas will have better vets. 🤗🙏@SomeLadyinVA

@cully45 Which is really crummy because she needed to go in for a dental cleaning on Monday and it was very likely she would need an extraction so I might need to find somebody sooner rather than later.

@SomeLadyinVA @cully45 Covid protocol at our vet in the beginning was really bad. Still bad but better than initially. Came out to the car to get the dog.Too dangerous with skittish big dogs and traffic so they switched to one pet parent with mask drop off. You have to talk to the vet on the phone...🤬We had a prominent vet in my area die from Covid the first month of the pandemic so they all freaked out. This entire thing pisses me off.

@SomeLadyinVA My over priced elite vets office refused to give me a letter so I could adopt from a rescue after my dog passed. The reason- Because I didn't keep up my rabies Vax for my indoor cats. Mind you, my dog that passed, couldn't walk for the last 6 months of her life. I had a ramp put up and carried her back end with a harness to go outside every time she wanted. She was still youthful at 12.5 yes. And dragged me around the yard like I weighed 10 lbs. I also had laser treatments,

@SomeLadyinVA massaged her several times a day. Tried everything several times a day. A friends boss did rescue and needed a foster for a Shepherd immediately. My friend suggested me. Vet techs and others were interested. The rescue chose me. Lola came to me neglected, untrusting and somewhat aggressive. She is a pain in the ass now. Spoiled and sweet. That said, the rescue hooked me up with a vet 40 minutes away.

@SomeLadyinVA The care is awesome and affordable. They let you go back in the treatment room where care is done. I wander their property as its a slice of heaven. He retired from the big practice & has his office attached to his home in the middle of the woods. His wife is the vet tech. They work with a lot of rescues. They have everything they need to sustain with the exception of a cow, which they plan to get. They even have gas and diesel pumps. Their place is amazing. They are Trumplicans.
