@graf @methyltheobromine sublime text as it's easy to extend for tooling. I wrote python to interact with websockets to update scripts, shaders, etc live in a game engine for example. Haven't used emacs since 2000s.

@fluffy @methyltheobromine @jeffcliff browser is better than eww, pdf reader is better than default, and everything else is useless to me so I can't really say. I'd recommend running it on hardware that isn't super old though, because it is very heavyweight. The browsing experience is a bit choppy on my machine.

@methyltheobromine When I found out that Dendron exists, I switched to VS Code (Dendron also works with VS Codium). Dendron's an extension that lets you write interconnected notes, basically. https://www.dendron.soMy brain finds it easiest when I put my notes and my code all in a thingy with the same interface, and I like VS C's interface more than any other editor I've used. Probably because it's customizable and better documented than the others I've used.

@methyltheobromine Oh so : if I want to be comfortable I use VSCode/VSCodium because I fully customized it once, put a copy of the configuration file online so I can just have my whole setup in a few seconds/minutesif I'm coding for fun I use Atom so I can have the "activate-power-mode" which is a fun plugin to have visual effects and a Combo Counter (it's also a good tool to train for typing faster)if I work on a distant computer/server/RaspberryPi I use VIM because it's quick, powerful, lightweight and easy to use once you know the keybindingsalso command-line text editing is great when I want to go faster because I usually have CLI scripts and aliases to quickly do stuff I regularly have to do like moving files, running local servers, updating dependencies etc.

@methyltheobromine @satanist it doesn't support creating polls with more than 4 options. But still allows to vote.That said, polls and poll results federate like ass for some reason. Even between plemora instances sometimes.
