@pamby1 New related question. I'm trying to add an orange to my screen name here, but it appears that I'm running up against a character limit or something like that. @nchia I dunno. I'm a medical imaging application, networking, and database guy. And a barely literate x-ray tech. I don't bother too much with the intricate features of the Windows operating system. I'm the guy that almost never reads the manual, but can find a solution on Google rather quickly - have you ever seen that meme that essentially says "I'm just as ignorant as you are - I'm just better at Google than you." @nchia My wife was a professional educator before she retired. The education industry in the US primarily uses Apple products. I bought my wife a MacBook Air for Christmas in 2011. Best tech purchase I've ever made. She no longer needed my constant assistance with the Windows OS.I updated the old MacBook Air with a new one about three months ago. She got almost 10 full years out of the old one. Try that with a Windows machine.@pamby1 @HeyLiberty @CDuBois

@Chet Apple sucks at many things, but their hardware is rock solid - apart from some with design faults.My laptop is from 2011, one iMac at work from 2008/2009.But lack of OS support on older models means we have to upgrade.@pamby1 @HeyLiberty @CDuBois

@nchia I'm reluctant to completely abandon the old MacBook Air because I also bought a Thunderbolt display with it. The Thunderbolt display is a terrific monitor, even though it's over 10 years old.
