The Y is a degenerate chromosome (no buli, that is what it is called) because it has lost most of it's genes, as they would be imbalanced with the X present. Those similarities are even smaller (statistically insignificant actually) when comparing White women to White men. The ***general*** summary is that there are more men slightly smarter than women (5-15 IQ pt difference), but there are more women who are much smarter then men (15+ IQ difference), and overall the differences basically dissolve. Intelligence is also obviously not purely genetic. Upbringing plays a big role. And all the data shows that 2-parent households result in smarter offspring.Ive never seen any study comparing single-father vs single-mother raised children IQ scores. If one exists, I would be happy to read it.

@EmmaFaber Everyone (extreme exceptions not included) has 46 chromosomes. 23 from mom, and 23 from dad. The chromosomes dad gives to kid are about half from his mother and about half from his father. Each parent gives 23 chromosomes--an equal contribution. "but the Y is smaller than the X!" Yes, it is, but one X is inactivated in each female cell. "but some genes are still expressed from the inactivated Xs!" Not many. Given your description of chromosomal dynamics and heredity, I do doubt your conclusions are accurate.
