I specifically brought a monitor with me today so I could have a dualscreen setup on my laptop.Laptop said no.It was probably the monitor that bent the laptop ツ

@cyastis Monitor's too big to carry regularly, had to take the stand off just to fit it in. If it hadn't been raining so much I'd have strapped it on the rack, and this probably wouldn't have happened. In any case, the plan was to take it to my store and leave it there, since that's mostly where I use my laptop anyway. Half of the reason I don't leave it there as well is storage space, finding a spot for the monitor was tricky. Ended up shoving it with the Nerf stuff. (The other half is wanting to do updates on home connection instead of mobile. Which works better when actually having home connection. ISPs pls.)

@Zergling_man Is it feasible to just repair the laptop screen or are you going to have to ~~total~~ replace it? You're probably going to need a screen both at home and the store

@cyastis I have never attempted a laptop repair, so I don't know. At home I'll just borrow my tertiary monitor for it. Or get a stand for the monitor sitting under my desk.Annoyingly I have an hdmi switch but only my primary monitor supports it, and my laptop doesn't anyway. Need to get a vga switch, or full kvm. They're like $70 new though, fuck that shit. Just gotta camp opshop.Which is more effective when people aren't harassing me about dumb shit (masks).

@cyastis I volunteer at that opshop on the furniture truck. Sometimes we end up doing tip runs, which includes from Sorting.Which is basically free game, and idk what the tech tester dude is thinking, but a lot of perfectly functional monitors end up in the pile.
