I've been working from home for almost two years now. I don't expect us to return to the office full time, ever.Shouln't your employer have realized by now that grown ups don't need to be supervised 9-5?

@navigium I think that's the point TBH. The one Director actually said to me yesterday "This is the problem, Pete. When we're all in the office we hear what's being said." I believe that's code for: "We can't watch staff when they are at home." 🕵️ 🤦♂️

@dick_turpin @navigium And someones work, or part of it, is to pretend is controlling and watching over that everything gets done , though it would probably be done exactly the same without supervision but needs a justification.

@ghostdancer @navigium TBH, it's ridiculous. Given he (Director #1) has COVID a better solution would have been for him to stay at home and me and one of the other engineers man the office.The other Engineer is now clear and returned yesterday and the other Director #2 is clear today but Director #1 thought it a better idea to disperse us all and then complain about it. Madness. 🤦♂️

@ghostdancer @navigium If I told you everything that went on your only response would be: "Do you work for Jokers-R-us Pete?"We have a company van. The driver of the van is the brother-in-law of Director#1 the van goes home every night with the BIL, in fact, the BIL has the van when he's on holiday so if we need the van we have to go round his house to fetch it that is if he has not taken it on holiday with him! which then means we have to get customers to bring things to us instead! 🤡 🤦♂️

@penguin42 @ghostdancer @navigium Now that is funny.I'm forever telling them what I think; they just don't take any notice.You wouldn't like it where I work. You need a special kind of skill-set; you need to know how to perform your duties in an environment where the goalposts move every hour or every ten minutes and with one arm tied behind your back.

@dick_turpin In my case , we can only tell them things that agree with them , my bosses don't listen to anything else it just don't listen to it and don't you even dare to be right against something they have told, they take it personally. We have to trick them in to thinking it was their idea from the beginning. @penguin42 @navigium
