       Decided to watch Breaking Bad again as something to have on in the background while I work. Rewatching it has made me realize how much I miss television and movies that aren’t just woke or political pushing garbage. If Breaking Bad was released today, Walter would have been a lesbian and Jesse most definitely would have been a POC. Then maybe a trans drug dealer sprinkled in somewhere...

       @eMarie It's amazing they've managed to make 5 seasons of Better Call Saul and steer free of any nonsense.  I hope they finish season 6 without any more *coincidental* heart issues with cast members.

       @eMarie I was called a POC once, it felt more racist that an ethnic slur. With an ethnic slur it at least acknowledges my ethnicity which I can laugh or relate with but person of color... that’s just such a harsh dehumanizing thing to call someone. Also, “colored person” is just person of color moved around.

       @dustinthewind That makes total sense. I wasn’t using that term in a derogatory way. I was more or less using it because I can see that being how the show execs and casting crew would refer to the imaginary person they want casted in that role.

       @eMarie If they rely on advertising or subscriptions - as they all do - and they know their audience, you'll see content that matches the expectations of those viewers.  It would have been a different show.  A shitty one.
