@joel what would you do if your smartphone stopped working out of nowhere?I installed an app that factory resets the phone when it detects a celebrite attack. That was when Signal also added the payloads to defend against it.I wanted to stream to a FireTV Stick, and before I even saw my screen on the Display, my phone resetted itself.I couldn't stop it.I lost my 2FA Keys, because I only stored the backup codes on my phone, I lost my chat history on Signal and I almost lost access to my password manager.That was a pretty stressful experience trying to recover all the lost data and accounts, but somehow I managed to do that all in an afternoon.Lesson learned: Set up a backup to multiple destinations - local as well as in the "cloud" - encrypted, of course.

@joel reminds me of my old phone.. well the one I had about a month ago before switching. it's nowhere near as scary as this, but still something I wanted to share.I think somewhere in November, was the first time that my phone would start freezing out of nowhere. Completely randomly. I could turn on and off the screen, but it'd still display the same image. I have done a few KeePass password backups since then, you never know, but luckily it never completely died before I switched.

@robots yes, interestingly enough, I have a thing for true crime and mistery, I sleep while listening to 'Already Gone', 'The Magnus Archives' or 'Unexplained' lol

@robots i use a sleep timer and a queue a rain sounds podcast last. I listen to the first couple podcast full (unless its a long one, then rain plays)At most I have to listen to the last one if there os a storyz like on TMA, if its a self contained story, I dont mind missing stuff
