@Moon Jon Leibowitz is just a comedic has been just riding the victim train to keep himself relevant. All he had going for him was the daily show and they replaced him with an even more unfunny token minority for woke points. I found Jon Stewart funny when I was a teenager but then I grew up and see how much he lacks substance.

@PsychoCod3r Yeah Jon Stewart hasn't been relevant in decades. I think he mostly got to where he is to begin with due to nepotiosm he brother was a well known figure in the NYSE awhile back not sure if he still is.

@ehhh I read up to Chamber of Secrets and then I got bored. It's a good 3rd/4th grade reading level book but I couldn't get hard core into the fantasy setting it was placed in.

@ehhh I feel like the biggest appeal to it was that it was a big book with a low reading level so kids that read it through felt accomplished and more confident to read other big books. Most of my hatred of Harry Potter stems from the millennial fanbase of late 20 / early 30 somethings who base their life / political views on a low fantasy novel designed for elementary school kids.

The heritability of wizarding skill is, with some noteworthy exceptions, still real. Kids protect their school by explicitly learning combat techniques and conceal-carrying deadly ranged weapons against laws put in place by authorities. The goblins thing was one too, but also don't forget that it assigns "slavery" to the race of gnomish, bumbling comic relief elves.
