       @scy that would defy the level of realism they're attempting to portray though. Not shield we can realistically build will be against radiation and maybe magnetic / electrical fields?

       As a life-long @StarTrek@twitter.com fan, #TheExpanse has really spoiled Trek tech for me. I can’t keep myself from :rolleyes: anymore when I see shipwreck exploration with perfectly fine “artificial gravity”, or _some_ impulse maneuvers throwing the crew around while going to warp doesn’t.

       One thing I’m missing in The Expanse though: Shields.I mean, the whole “one hit can kill a ship” thing brings interesting submarine film vibes, and seasons 5 and 6 have shown that you can have top-notch space fights without shields, but still. I miss ’em.
