It never ceases to amaze me how often writers fall back on the protagonist who "just wishes to live an ordinary life."As if to tell the audience I want to make my protagonist as uninteresting and un-nuanced as possible.

@Rasp There is nothing as boring as watching a man try to run away from fantasy worlds soo he can wagecuck, pay unfair amounts of money for a computer and play video games that emulate the fantasy world he ran away from.
