@skylar I've actually never had a Twitter account in my entire life and that's kind of a point of pride. When I say that to IRL colleagues though I can't shake the feeling theyre thinking "oh, must be full of porn then"

@RustyCrab @skylarUsed to worry the same, but a lot of folks don't have twitter and Facebook accounts so many people just readily accept if you say you don't have one. Which is good. I hate the idea of social media being one of those things everyone is expected to take part in. Only twitter accounts I ever had were pretty much speedrun to ban accounts when I got bored.

@RustyCrab @skylarOnly time I ever got looked at weird for not having a major social media account was when a supervisor kept trying to get us to make Facebook accounts several years back. I politely told him nah I'm good and when he wouldn't let it go, I bluntly informed him I'd quit first. He let it go thankfully though I did some stinkeye for it.

@RustyCrab @skylarExactly. Way I see it, I drink with my friends and loved ones. I don't see how anyone could be comfortable getting drunk with their bosses, coworkers, HR snakes, and such. Maybe I'm just autistic but sounds like a great way to get fucked over. And if we're all just gonna sit around drinking coke with strangers and laughing awkwardly at the bosses jokes to score points, I think I'd rather spend that time playing vidya or looking for another job.
