       i’ve tended to assume that staff shortages in the public healthcare sector was a problem only Norway struggled with, but it looks like the UK has the same problem…

       @sqyqh people don’t like the work, but it’s a vicious cycle. the staff shortages cause people to overexert themselves and quit. and the profession gains a reputation for that, causing fewer people to become nurses, and so on…

       @sqyqh but if you bump the pay up, that money has to come from somewhere, and that somewhere, if you’re in Europe, is from tax money, and tax increases are never popular.
