@stux@mstdn.social good argument .... i guess im just mad at mastodon because we where promised e2ee but only got some api commits that are not used... also we told about security flaws that noone patched (to this day)but yeah a fork and/or rewrite could help mastodon survive but i dont have any hope in the main development... ruby is concidered dead by many... so only projects that were written in 201x use it and ... yeah... mastodon is dead for me... the software at least, not the users.we will see what happens in the rest of 202x's

@stux @lukas is misskey worth a try? As a Pleroma user and admin what big advantages provide misskey over pleroma? Can I run it on a raspberry pi?First impressions on misskey instances was that the UI is a bit confusing and really slow. But it uses the tools I like and know best. Typescript and Vue ;).

@masstransitkrow I wonder why that is not happening. I imagine something like if I expand certain toots or follow some link to other instance that the content will loaded from that instance into my frontend and somehow shows the source where its coming from. Hope fully this would make interaction with content not in your instance much easier. As of now you need to open e second tab that shows the toot on its instance. There you need to either copy the url into your search to perform a lookup or enter your instance name for oauth way. Here we can really make some improvements.

@stux Mastodon is my personal favorite, but I'm biased because it was my introduction to the Fediverse (recommended by a friend :) ). I have Pixelfed but it feels very empty. I've checked out a few PeerTube instances, and they're pretty neat, but overall Mastodon is definitely my favorite.
