Super Mario 64 update yet again.I have found red coins in the Bowser levels. I am now at 96 stars. If only Tiny-Huge Island had 6 stars, I would have managed to reach 100; but alas, it only has 2.I also did a challenge in the castle lobby where Mario has a seizure after looking at a bright light and hallucinates himself flying above the clouds. There was another star there.The wing cap. Not even once. Worse Mario power up I have ever seen.

Got it. I defeated Bowser at last. The fight was hard, but there were infinite 1-ups so there was no problem really.What did Bowser mean by that? :thinking:

Confirming my suspicions, the face on that lakitu says it all. Look at how sad he is that Mario rescued Peach. That lakitu was working for Bowser all along.Also, there's a strange moment when Mario looks directly at the camera before being called by Peach into the castle. Was Mario about to discover that he was in a game?

OK, first ever point in favour of Peach: she did bake the cake. However, her wording suggests she had the Toads help. But I'm not gonna question it further. Except to say:What? That's it? Mario has a cake that size for breakfast every morning. C'mon, man. A kiss on the nose and a moderately-sized cake is not enough for risking his life in a world of slippery slopes, a horrible camera and tank controls. That deserves poon... at the least.

@rasterman Sunshine is legitimately painful even for people who are actually competent at 3D platformers, just saying. There's also less room to skip bad Stars/Shines in Sunshine than in 64, just saying :trump.png:

@rasterman Congratulations! I guarantee you aren't done with Mario 64, no one ever truly is.That last line is explained in Super Mario 64: Perfect Works. As Bowser died, his psychic powers allowed him to see one last glimpse of the future. He saw the world burning, man turning on man turning on man. A mass of flesh and pleasure and suffering. Although he may not rule over it, at least not in life, Bowser realized that men bring their own destruction to bear.

@rasterman @ChristiJunior i like sunshine well enough, not as much as mario 64 but that's one of my favorite games ever.i will say that i like 3d world and 3d land way more than sunshine. they're a lot more like classic mario games except in 3d instead of 2d. really really fun, takes me back to the days of playing smb3 on the NES in the basement :)i've never played galaxy or galaxy 2, and i haven't played odyssey either. they just don't really interest me all that much.

@DK_Dharmaraj @rasterman I'm playing through it too, the wing cap can be pretty hard but in a lot of other ways the game is easier than I remember it. I remember thinking Lethal Lava Land was hard, but me and my kids are all able to move around in it pretty confidently now.

@beardalaxy @ChristiJunior Thanks, first person ever to say something good about Sunshine to me.I see a lot of dismissal here. I don't even know what the story will be about; but unlike 64, I do have the GameCube controller to play it as Miyamoto intended it. I assume that will make things easier.
