I always find it strange when people put their CV/Resume on their website.I don't know why, I just think it's not the appropriate place for such a document.

@kev Depends on the purpose of the web page, I guess? I would put it there if I tried to seel myself as a psychologist or consultant or something.

@kev I don't see the problem. Although, I don't think I've ever put my full thing on mine. I used to have a sort-of high level summary but I think I refactored it away at some point.

@kev I go back and forth on the topic. I don't publish it on my personal site as that's... not appropriate for the content IMO. I also have a "professional" site and I do think it could be appropriate there. The idea being, that I'd post specific how-to's and ideas specific to dumb SharePoint development. Still, I'd want a web version of it and not like the standard 1/2 pager thing you actually send to people when they ask.

@kev I am concerned with the possibilities of misusing the sensitive personal information posted, but I think there is no problem to share regarding work experience.

@kev If the site is your professional portfolio (like @Jmtd mentioned) it wouldn't be too shocking.

@kev I prefer websites where the homepage is your cv/resume as the background. But maybe that's just me???

@kev I have a "professional" webpage which links to my LinkedIn profile and a pdf copy of my CV. My CV is kept in a git repo and the webpage always has the most up to date version. This makes it easy for me to provide a copy to companies/recruiters.

@kev at most I do a “here’s what I know and what I do” on the site, but my resume is usually customized to the job I’m applying for so it doesn’t make since to host it on my site. Definitely an odd choice for those who do.

@kev I was stalking your website and reading your about page made me really chuckle. "I’m a father of two and a husband of one" lol
