@Graziella my oldest starts kindy next year and it scares me because sometimes she says she wishes she was a boy. It wonāt take much for a teacher to convince her that the reason she wants to be a boy is because she is one even though the real reason is because sheās gnc and gets along better with boys than girls and the boys her age act like girls have cooties and they donāt want to play with her any more. Sheās 4. Iām highly tempted to homeschool her although I donāt think Iām capable of it.

@Graziella āThis conference was called āThe 2021 LGBTQ+ Issues Conference, Beyond the Binary: Identity & Imagining Possibilities.āWorkshops were held detailing methods with which teachers can undermine parents and āconservative communitiesā on issues of gender identity and sexual orientation. One suggestion was the setting up of LGBTQ groups, also known as Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs....In the audio sent to Abigail Shrier, the pair can be heard describing how they recruit club members by stalking pupilsā internet searches... and advocated keeping pupilsā attendance at these clubs secret from their parents. āBecause we are not officialāwe have no club rosters, we keep no recordsā, she said. āIn fact, sometimes we donāt really want to keep records because if parents get upset that their kids are coming, weāre like, āYeah, I donāt know. Maybe they came?āāš±š± So no records of students who went to these groups, students are recruited secretly from observing internet searches, parents are never informed and purposely kept in the dark if they ask... how convenient for predators right?

@starsstorm @Graziella Now is the perfect time to teach your daughter to reject gender stereotypes and also teach her how to defend herself from gender stereotypes being enforced. I speak out against gender stereotypes in my family even though my family find my views unpopular. For example my grandmother would say "you need to learn how to cook you are a woman". I would say "everyone needs to learn how to cook , cooking is for everybody. Enough with gender stereotypes nanny". I am the feminist free spirit of the family who call out gender stereotypes if I see them. My future children will be raised to do the same.-When I was younger I played with the boys in the neighbourhood. I rode bikes with them and played PlayStation one games in their homes. I never wanted to be a boy not once. My friends who were girls didn't have a PlayStation in their homes and I loved playing PlayStation. My family and no one else didn't even have a problem with it. They just saw us as children playing. Tell your daughter it is perfectly normal. Use my example. In the end I grew up to be a very feminine 24 year old woman who loves wearing dresses, lipstick and flat colourful shoes. I love a dystopian fiction and sci fi too.My little teenage sister is NOT GNC or transgender but genuiely prefers wearing suits, polar necks etc as this is the fashion she just prefers. I once told my sister that people should "be free to express themselves". I explained to my sister If a man wants to wear a dress then he should wear the dress he will still be a man this same principle also applies to women too. Being a woman or man is something a person is born with and can never be taken away.My family allow her to wear her suits. My family think transgender is "ridiculous" and "non sense"ā¢Forget homeschooling that is for weirdos. Look at who does homeschooling it is those crazy mega religious families who mainly do it.

@MellowMarigold @Graziella I pretty much do tell her most of that. In the US, homeschooling is more and more a secular thing than just a religious thing. Itās especially common with parents whose kids are adhd or autistic because schools arenāt doing a good job of making accommodations here.

@starsstorm @Graziella OK. Have you talked to other mothers who have this issue? Your concerns are very valid, talking to other mums with this issue would really help you. I didn't know that about American homeschooling, we are always told its religious people who do homeschooling. In the UK when people say do home schooling we think they are crazy. In the UK and countries across Europe religious families tend to do home schooling. I noticed in American documentaries about home schooling the families are always religious so I always thought it something religious people did.

@MellowMarigold Iāve been told outside of gc spaces that Iām being ridiculous or transphobic for being concerned about the way gnc girls are being treated at school. Iām worried about girls in general though. Itās is definitely far more common that homeschooling happens among religious parents in the US as well. @Graziella
