I’ve just slept for 14 hours and could easily go back to sleep.I cant smell anything. I can’t taste anything. I get out of breath climbing the stairs.I’m fully vaccinated and relatively healthy (I usually go running 3x a week and walk the dog a few miles every day). I dread to think what this thing does to vulnerable, frail and unvaccinated people.COVID is a bitch, and if you’re one of those idiots touting that it doesn’t exist, you’re a fucking moron.

@koreymoffett I don’t really feel ill as such any more. Sore throat, headaches etc. all went after a few days. Got a couple aches, but nothing more than a mild cold now.I just feel so lethargic and zapped. can’t seem to catch my breath properly. I feel bad still taking time off work, but i know that would hammer me at the moment.

@kev That sounds pretty bad. Get well soon! I've heard from many people now that they felt pretty bad despite the vaccination. And they didn't want to know what would have happened to them without vaccination...Are your sons feeling better?

@kev, my experience is, I caught Covid being unvaccinated and it took me around a week to recover (+ a few weeks to stop occasional coughing), no loss of smell or taste. I don't feel any long-term effects, though there may be some.Disclaimer: I'm not an anti-vax, it's that that the vaccine wasn't rolled out for my age group until after I had recovered.

@jle ironically, i have my booster on Sunday 😂I’ll be out of isolation by then.I wouldn’t worry too much, i think it will affect people differently.

@pantos yeah. Oldest is out of isolation as of yesterday, youngest is free tomorrow. You wouldn’t know either of them have been sick at this point.

@kev hang in there and take care.Very different experiences w covid for ppl, from a mild cold to completely down and out. I had similar to you Kev. After the fever and other symptoms went away I followed 3 rules: rest, eat, train.- I slept as long as I could and rested all day.- I ate three times a day. This was hard the first days.- I took a walk each day. First day to the mailbox two meters outside the house, had to lie down hours after that 😅 Alittle longer each day.Get well❤️

@kev Other than fever/headaches, our biggest struggle was the lethargy. Would take hours to muster the strength for even a trip to the bathroom, much less anything productive. Hang in there, bud.

@kev I know a couple of people recovering from it right now and that sounds like a typical experience. I dread to catch it, having a 3yo at home it's hard enough maintaining enough energy as it is, but really I know its only a matter of time. People can deny it as long as they like but eventually reality will smack you in the face. Hope you get well enough in time for Christmas

@kev My sister and I both caught covid last Sept. She ended up in the hospital lost her sense of taste and smell, hasn't got it back. I was fine, no lasting side effects. The difference? I get a lot of sunshine in the summer months and take 5000 mg of vit D3 daily in the colder months. That's the only lifestyle difference I can think of, she even exercises more than I do but avoids the sun to an extreme.
