@nugger I think there's more efficacy through a little bit each day, v.s. giga-maxxing short-term.There's additional actions by which Ginger has modulatory effects on the microbiome, which modulates/balances the immune-system which X,Y,Z.For most microbiome interventions, you see results after around 3 months. The ideal might be just including it as a small, but regular aspect of the diet long term - instead of seasonal gigamaxxing.

@grey @nugger @scalar I'd think so as to not change to many factors at once try to find and use magnesium hydroxide, same as you are using potassium hydroxide. That way you can observe what just the magnesium itself does to the batch. If say you used epsom salt, magnesium sulfate, you have two new components in the batch changing properties.

MgCl looks promising. but epsom salts are magnesium sulfate, that might be a better starting point. i imagine there's some soap makers that have experimented with epsom salts.

Would need to either learn how to store them long term or get the different fungi species they are produced from and ultimatly create an independent supply. Before 2000, the usage seems to be highly selective as to Up/Down. For the general populace - UP! But when targeted towards "those that know" - DOWN! @DerSauerkraut @Wemmy @nugger @scalar without like an actual official history of the logo it's going to be a pain to figure out. many things e.g. websites don't update their logos exactly when they change them, and all sorts of paperwork probably has logos of varying age stored in document systems across a hellish landscape of political office it networks. it looks like the lapel pins have always been pointed down, some from the 90s look identical to the 2001 one -- so it might be it was just a mold made when they had it pointed down and the mold was never changed except for the numbers. still, the masonic 33 degree logo change bracketing the human sacrifices in afghanistan seems like a satisfying enough schizo theory that my brain can rest and let me go and smoke now.

@scalar @nugger just dice (~1 teaspoonās worth) and add it to your porridge each morning (after cooking), easy asmix oats, yogurt (must have active cultures), and water the night before. Cover and leave out on the countertop (not fridge - the cold inhibits fermentation). Slight fermentation will occur and thus the the phytic acid will break down (anti-nutrient which inhibits the uptake of iron and other minerals). Also results in greatly superior yumminess. next morning: you can eat it cold or cook it in microwave / stove top. Add ginger, other spices, salt, butter, milk, fruit / honey / sugar etc
