I do not know how american culture is, e.g. if you buy them from a supermarket equivalent, but if not, you would make more profit paying in cash (thats what banks really hate lol)

Coinbase Card has 4% back on everything, so I tend to use that for all my regular expenses, and a 5% rotating Discover when it applies. Thanks for pointing out some more intro offers I can get! Hope to get another card soon.

Cash is 0% back vs the 5% from a card. And if you were being taxed and wanted to itemize the receipt, the receipt still shows the total regardless of the % back you get later on the card, so you would apply for the same tax return either way.

@dzur I'm against the convention of going to a restaurant alone, especially as a regular habit in lieu of the basic responsibility of making food at home. I'm not against restaurants as an occasional thing with friends and family.

@luke If you have some self control and you are not a moron you can take the system for a ride. It is designed for impulsive lazy baboons.Another good tactic is taking those 18+ month 0% interest cash advance checks from credit cards and buying high yield bond funds. Then pay back the balance once 0% is up and keep the interest.Been doing this for years and have accumulated 100k in investment portfolio for free, which pays nice dividends 😉

@nosat@liberdon.com Yeah a couple people said when I first did a video on introductory offers, they opened cards and just bought Bitcoin. This was back in 2020 when it was like $5,000, so that paid for itself pretty quick.
