What's the best way to set up resolution of blockchain and altNIC (such as OpenNIC) domains?I'd like to be able to resolve from any blockchain or NIC at once, but I don't know what to do about conflicts. Handshake, OpenNIC, and ICANN could easily conflict with each other, and any one of those three could easily register .bit (used by Namecoin), .eth (ENS), .coin (Emercoin) etc.Yes, it's unlikely that OpenNIC will conflict with Emercoin as they are partners, and Handshake has a mechanism that prevents people from registering ICANN names, but I'm talking in general terms. You can still register an OpenNIC TLD with Handshake, for example. There are so many and so I might miss out if I just stick to one.#blockchaindomains #DNS #freedom #censorshipresistance #altNICs

@Hyolobrika I don't know of any tools that can convert from an ENS domain to a web domain directly over DNS protocol, also ENS->DNS isn't a 1:1 mapping, it has a place for a URL though

@Hyolobrika I think you need to run a local DNS server that supports blockchain domains in addition to regular domains.Something like this: github.com/popura-network/PopuraDNS. I haven't tried it myself but looks interesting

@silverpill I know I do, but I don't know how to resolve conflicts. Thanks for the link, but it only supports 4 sources and only one of those is both decentralised and human-readable. If everyone used the Alfis blockchain that would be great, but I doubt they do. Also, it seems to be in very early alpha stages.

@Moon>ENS to DNS isn't a 1:1 mappingYou mean ENS to IP address?Well, ok. Neither is DNS to IP address.>web domainYou mean ICANN domain?

@Hyolobrika They're using CoreDNS with custom plugins. I think this setup can be extended to support other name systems such as ENS and HNS
