@karnage @LuizLibonati @BlkLdyPatriot @Gmajv @redwhitebluedude For me one of the greatest movies ever made. Never gets old. The Oscars, a big "duh" to me. I went from Mozart fan to fanatic. F. Murray Abraham's performance, beyond impeccable - every frame shot, thoroughly engaging. Likewise the small part players he interacted with. And for years I had the biggest crush on self-described weirdo Elizabeth Berridge. The least beautiful of the two? Not to me, for me her beauty was haunting.

@karnage @LuizLibonati @BlkLdyPatriot @Gmajv @redwhitebluedude I always like to do enough research to figure out how much of the movies I’m watching are accurate!!Here’s another one from Amadeus.. his Requiem was unfinished at his death but the last piece he worked on was The Magic Flute!! So the scenes of him working feverishly on his Requiem while dying aren’t accurate either!! Sigh..

@charlotte1958 @LuizLibonati @BlkLdyPatriot @Gmajv @redwhitebluedude Movies are fictitious. That’s what they are. They are poetic interpretations. They are not history. Not in the slightest. Anyone who takes true history lessons from movies is an imbecile. The question is never one of historical accuracy. The question is whether the movie is any good.I’ve worked on tons of historical projects. You learn the history in order to sublimate it to the drama.

@karnage @LuizLibonati @BlkLdyPatriot @Gmajv @redwhitebluedude I like your term “poetic interpretations”.. I’m going to remember that.. when watching a movie on a historical topic, I figure they are doing that, and I’m just educating myself enough to know which parts are “creative license” and which aren’t - where they drew the line..I can still enjoy the movie after I stop wondering!! I just think that “truth is stranger than fiction”!! Real history is way more amazing than GOT!!
