Its like how in south africa there is an extremely low conviction rate. someone can basically kill you and get away with it. but all the other shit arrayed against you now wont just disappear. there could still be the lying media corporations. there could still be terrible infractions of justice. there could still be exploitative politicians. that stuff might not all get wiped off the board just because shit is failing and the law can no longer maintain order.
