       @realcaseyrollins Can you elaborate? I apologize in advance for the novel but in actual post-Marx theory late stage capitalism could be broadly thought of as the beginning of the end. It’s the point at which the excesses and contradictions inherent to capitalism begin to render the system itself untenable.Alternatively, it has also been argued that late stage capitalism will discourage a workers revolution by making everyone just comfortable enough to remain complacent, despite increasing wage inequality, hegemonic mega-corps, and so on.So tl;dr, how are you defining late stage socialism as it relates to late state capitalism? The term late capitalism has been co-opted by smug American liberals who want to criticize, and who in reality aren’t even that far apart from smug American conservatives, but those aren’t it’s origins.
