@icare4america @samuraikid Seems most hospitals and health department have no clue what it is. While in the ER, I was asked at least 50 times if I had the shot and why I hadn’t accepted it. One snooty nurse who knew I was a former EMT tried to guilty trip me into getting it. I pointed her to the database as a great reason not to take it, she stormed out. Health department dipshit told me she had never heard of it. Followed up by telling me to take the shot 90 days after I recover. WHY?!

Take on a serious/sarcastic tone, drop the well researched information. And close with something along the lines of “But if all our going to offer is ‘brought to you by Pfizer’ advise you saw on the TV, then you’re no good to me.” Mic drop…

@Photochris74 I recently had surgery and at my pre-op the nurse was asking me what supplements, etc I was taking. When I mentioned Quercetin she was like, “wait, what’s that?” And she had to look it up. It was right then I realized any information she was giving me was off a general piece of paper and not from her brain based on my individual health data. I think most medical personnel haven’t read a medical paper or study since they passed their boards. @icare4america @samuraikid

@Momma_Voke @icare4america @samuraikid Too true. When I was still an EMS Captain, I would have to go to several hospital administration meetings a month. I was shocked to learn that the non doctor medical administration outnumbered the actual people with medical licenses. And could override the medical doctrine with red tape whenever they saw fit. Too hell with the patient!

@ckpiv @Momma_Voke @icare4america @samuraikid Sad when you have to educate the people that are supposed to know. You could see they were dumbing down the industry here in NJ decades ago. When I first became an EMT in 1990, they would teach you everything, what to look for, what the signs and symptoms meant and how to treat in the field. As the program grew, they slowly dumbed down the process. Now they use a flow chart, zero explanation. He’s not breathing…why?! Who cares, just do this…

@Photochris74I work for a hospital system, doing non clinical administration. The mandates and other directives come from those who may have a medical degree but don't see patients. There are many MDs who work for hospitals and INSURANCE companies who never made it in private practice. Those who can't, teach, or become GM/CEOs/upper level administrators. Between that and the stigma of being labled anti-vaxx, no wonder people don’t want to fill them out.People who criticize VAERS because anyone could input data can’t point you to a better system. It’s almost like they don’t want a system to monitor adverse events.
