       @LostInCalifornia   It does look that way, I think you are right, yes building up a fake history. And they will find plenty of broke students happy to help.  This stuff is everywhere now, everywhere. No matter which way you  turn there is a torrent of it. How do we fight this?

       @Spring Dunno but I’ve been looking back at the eugenics movement in the US. That dissipated more or less, driven into oblivion by scientists looking at the data (along with Americans discovering that they had inspired and sustained Nazism).Eventually people start asking questions, and the fad goes away. It leaves a mark though.

       @Spring @LostInCalifornia Could tell her that in 1996 Germaine Greer resigned from Newnham because they had appointed a TIM, Rachael Padham, to the all-women college.  Pretty clear that women’s liberation was not about making men in dresses feel accepted as women.
