Unpopular opinion. I never did & never will use DIY wallets for real moneyMost don’t seem to understand level of resources companies put onto commercial devices & the level of resources attackers put against these devicesDon’t roll your own crypto,don’t roll your own hardware

Attacks surface concern is infinite larger than the proverbial “supply chain attacks”, which IMO have been sufficiently addressed.Don’t get me wrong, creating DIY wallets is a fantastic learning opportunity. They are simply not at a effort and scale to get enough of a beating.

Please don’t take this as hating or bias competition. There is no real competition here, the great majority of users will never use DIY devices, sales will still always be more than sufficient.The motivation for my comment is seen ppl exposing themselves to more attack surface

@nvk ...and yet to become companies in the first place, some bright spark had to initiate things by coming up with his/her own idea for a device. Your premise eliminates innovation by anyone but an established business!

@nvk That is an incredible naive take.Check Snowden leaks and Crypto AG.Also, the return on investment on supply chain attacks scales with the price of bitcoin.Not sure how it was addressed, and if you're gonna say seal bags, or leg light i don't think that is enough.
