@racism_man you essentially have the hyper competitive Japanese culture and these men and women aren’t really pushed out of the house by permissive parents so they wind up just isolating themselves away from society rather than attempting to compete in what they feel is already a guaranteed losing gameSo you have a bit of social anxiety which then evolves over time into crippling agoraphobia and an inability to function outside of their homes. Naturally they don’t work and in the most extreme cases don’t even leave their rooms, their parents usually wind up enabling their behavior because they don’t really know what to do
