@redwhitebluedude The one thing they are not saying is that rent control is nothing less than the expropriation of property owners.People who invest in property to afford a retirement income have their retirement stolen by government without compensation. @carolinacally @Debradelai @redwhitebluedude We saw a brief vacation rental shortage in late summer/early fall in Naples for rentals during Jan-March. Long-term landlords sold their properties because of appreciation.

@Joycevor @Debradelai @redwhitebluedude Same thing is happening in NC. People are selling long held rentals and the renters are having to find new places to live, because of the housing shortage going on right now.

@carolinacally @Debradelai @redwhitebluedude Yup. I did see a bounce of inventory come on about a month ago but we're short. I don't know HOW SHORT in the rental market because I don't handle rentals. It's a strange inefficient thing about Naples that rentals are mostly pocket listings. Those that are listed in the MLS are not maintained or updated by the listing agents.
