2/This tweet misrepresents the entirety of the pharmacy profession and completely undermines what we do as a whole. It paints us as rubber stamps for the physicians which any real healthcare professional will tell you is not the case. I don't need to go to school for 6 years for a phD and get paid the salary that I do if all I do is approve whatever the infalliable physican prescribes for you

3/The truth is that although prescribing is the responsibility of the physician, Pharmacists have the corresponding responsibility of dispensing your care to you. What does this mean? Basically if your doc prescribes you something egregiously erroneous like say..amoxicillin for a patient allergic to penicillin. If I fill that script, we are both on the chopping block. This page explains the process well.https://simasgovlaw.com/a-pharmacists-corresponding-responsibility-in-dispensing/

4/And that's not to say my only job is to correct mistakes by the physicians. A lot of times we consult each other and discuss your medication regimen before I dispense it to you. I got respect for all healthcare professionals but when it comes to medications, us pharmacists are the experts. There have been plenty of times where I suggested a different therapy than the physician and they deferred to me.

5/Your prescriptions must go through the eyes of two well trained, licensed professionals before you get them and they both have to agree to your therapyAs a pharmacist, I fill nearly 1000 scripts per day. I turn down, modify, or consult with your MD on prescriptions as i see fit. I refuse to fill scripts all the time especially when a crackhead comes in with an obviously fake script written in crayon for 250 ockseecodones. I know I know, DROP IS PRACTICING MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE! 🤦‍♂️

6/If I were to ever dispense to one of these crack addicts, the DEA would have my balls in a sling as they rightfully should. Your pharmacist does much more than just put the pills in the bottle and hand it to you. this shit for brains pierre kory should understand that assuming he is a real physician.

8/Pierre kory runs a similar scam through his group, FLCCC. They have a network of grifting physicians that are all anti-vax and all tell you that ivermectin is the cure to covid. They charge morons a hefty fee for telehealth conferences and then give you a prescription for ivermectin to get at the pharmacy.

9/Now FLCCC runs things a little differently. They bill themselves as just a medical information website that provides protocols. If you remember, AFLD advertised the cash rate(90 bucks) upfront for the consultations in return for a prescription. FLCCC refers you to a network of doctors who each grift at their own rates.

12/Yep, you are reading that correctly. zero. nada, zilch, goose egg. However, the supply chain is still getting destroyed so it is clearly still being prescribed. So my curiosity got the best of me and I researched who exactly was prescribing all the ivermectin in New york. I came up with some interesting stuff. Let's start with this. https://www.lohud.com/story/news/coronavirus/2021/10/21/heres-who-prescribed-ivermectin-covid-patients-ny-hospitals/8526574002/

This anti-vax doc goes around telling people the vaccines cause infertility and mutate genes while shamelessly promoting his overpriced vitamin supplements as alternatives to cure covid. 18/A couple of yall ( @Klang @umad80) will probably remember in the summer, there was a lady that sued a hospital in order to get ivermectin administered. Although not in new york(i believe it was Ohio), the doctor who prescribed the ivermectin prescription was a doctor completely unaffiliated with the hospital with zero prescribing privileges. They basically did one of these cash telehealth conferences and prescribed the drug. https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2228?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_term=hootsuite&utm_content=sme&utm_campaign=usage

@watch4thedrop I was just recently sent an email containing doctors in CA who will prescribe ivermectin and how I could get it to treat COVID.The person who sent it to me had no idea that I would recoil in horror from it and I never mentioned a word. I believe no doctor should prescribe any drug without knowing a patients history, period. If you get COVID and you are not sick enough to go to the hospital you don't need this anyway. Doctors will just tell you treat the symptoms.

@watch4thedrop Amazing thread, Drop! It really opens up your eyes. I believe these same doctors were doing this for HCQ in the beginning, no? Just an FYI, I actually did know that you are responsible for correcting a doctor's mistake as well as making sure fake scripts aren't filled. My maternal grandmother worked at a convince store/pharmacy back in the day when those were the norm. So I know he was always catching fake scripts and correct doctors. He actually lost his license after 1/2

@watch4thedrop I'm not really sure why, I do know they wanted the money because the one guy had a gun to my grandmother and had her open the cash register. Someone was with her that night because she was having a hard time opening it because she was so scared and the guy didn't shoot her. But his partner was in the back with the pharmacist and shot him.Funny story. @Bluecharger69 @umad80 Yeah man. There's plenty of medication courses in the MD program but obviously much more in a pharmacy program. I don't want to make it seem like physicians know nothing about medicine. They have a good understanding of it but we have an even better understanding because it is our specialty. if that makes sense.

@watch4thedrop Agree on the telehealth vbm correlationThe Nurse Practitioner gig only made financial sense if she went into private practice but she just didn’t like being in a dr’s office pill millICU contract nurses make waaaay more IMO & about half is tax free stipends 😀 In regards to your role in the process, it’s similar to nurses. They have a legal duty to correct Dr’s sometimes toohttps://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/961724?spon=24&uac=212416SV&impID=3782049&sso=true&faf=1&src=WNL_mdpls_211109_mscpedit_nurs#vp_2

@watch4thedrop @JJ Anecdotal confirmation of this; a family member recently had an ear infection and was prescribed ABs. The pharmacist refused to fill. They had taken one look at what the nurse practitioner prescribed and said;”This is wrong, she screwed it up”. Then they called them and straightened it out with the correct dosage.

@BrendaJean @watch4thedrop I don't think that law exists any more, but don't quote me on it. But it did at the time and it's just funny. 😂

@watch4thedrop I’m trying to get my 81y/o STUBBORN aunty to pay attention to what you say (she’s was an RN, too). She sent me a video of the “Zelensky Protocal” and boy did we have a discussion about AFLD and this guy. I owe you for my knowledge and for paying attention to this stuff. We are grateful here at SQV. ❤️
