@arh Maybe they think that if someone hasn't done anything to anyone, they are owed the right to live, but if they break the law, they violate that right?

Conservatives say they're pro-life and anti killing living people (like abortion) and suddenly we see them threaten people to kill them for something like standing in their yard. Like going straight to shooting and killing.

@arh Protecting property from intruders = murdering infants, apparently.

@arh @charbelwave Standing in people’s yard violates right to live. Understandable.Only in a legal sense. In a moral sense, I don’t see many ethical grounds to kill over property, unless that property is vital to the owner’s livelihood or the occupiers are endangering the landowner.Shooting people to death = murderNot always

@otsoYou have the right to own a gun, you absolutely do not have the right to shoot it whenever you want. I don't know how it works in other States but where I live if you kill someone just for being on your property you're going away for a long time. Protecting your lawn is not self-defense. The right to bear arms is not an excuse to ignore other laws or to take the lives of others however you see fit.@charbelwave@arh

@the_worst @arh @otso @charbelwave IIRC you can legally shoot someone on your property, if you tell them they're not allowed to be on the property and they refuse to leave. But in that scenario, standard operating procedure is to call the cops and have them remove the offending person themselves. That's in fact what #DaBaby did in the case of his psycho girlfriend. But I would imagine it's not that clear cut, you may get off on it, you might not. It depends on the circumstances. Also, from what I've heard, you most definitely won't get off on charges if you shoot someone in the back, even if it's self defense (i.e. someone was attacking you with a weapon and dropped it behind him and went back to pick it up). So if you wanna get the landowner in legal trouble, turn your back to him, I guess.
