However, I think Saul is also right when he says that the media propagandists are driven by ideology (and power lust), hence their hatred of Trump, who threatened their fantasies of absolute control over reality.

So - while some propagandists at lower levels are driven by their ideologies, the master propagandists that drive the whole thing are driven by and corrupted by power lust.
