Regardless of your opinion of that game, I vividly remember journalists who seethed at GTA and CoD talking about how it was amazing because it said the USA was bad. There were plenty of movies where strawman racists got killed or attacked or mocked depending on the movie. This was more likely if the movie was black cinema or had a Jewish director (or both), yet because of the time and circumstances it was given a pass easily because a lot of WWII vets were alive and the kids left behind were adults now, or the end of segregation etc.They also happened to make more entertaining movies with personal experiences woven into them instead of preaching about why so and so is bad.
