@Morghur @Eris wish I had time to play, work full time and renovate in my free time. best place to play is at your local game store (if there is one) where you can hang with the boomers. they're kind of retarded in alot of ways but more tolerable than most, and they give good material advice (life advice not so much)

@Morghur @Eris I'd run a CoC game that I already wrote up and tested a year or two ago, it went pretty well. Only problem is you have to play glowies. I don't have any time on the weekdays, I could spare maybe a couple hours on the weekend somewhere.

@Morghur @Eris I would go into details of the deadliness but it has to be a mystery. it was a group of 5-6 fbi glowies with a few ex military members and some investigator types (well rounded around different fields). The hook is that there's oddly large corn coming from a family farm in a state that has the fed headquarters in a nearby city. Investigation is needed, they would be the first team to investigate and there's not much info outside what is publicly available.

They slowly wrapped their minds around the idea that their characters were probably going to die/go mad/go mad and then die.

Everyone has in mind that their characters are throwaways and they dive into danger without any sort of regard. I designed my character to be an overall hinderance to the party: the guy that doesn't believe in the mumbo jumbo but it's just interested in money and self interest. Doesn't openly cooperate, lies and keeps important things to himself in order to make it out of there with his hide.Also, everyone took around 1 hour and a half to make their characters

CoC isn't about action and more about discovering something and it's best if each member in the party is specialized rather than being a jack of all trades. Sometimes the sessions can be very slow (like one i had where my character split from the main group and did nothing) while other times a lot of stuff can happen very quickly and badly
