@BoredasfSam00 @jens @Corina im not someone who goes for world records, just someone who can do most types of cubes

@ZVCorrupted @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina ok, I started something here. I just want to solve a regular cube 🤣 Update from yesterday, though, is that I recall all but the last two algorithms. I guess it's only a matter of a few days. How do the other shapes compare with regards to the solving logic?

@jens @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina its proportional to the number of permutations a given "cube" has.for example, the megaminx has more permutations, and thus is harder to solve.conversely, the pyraminx has less permutations, and is easier to solve

@jens @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina that covers 99% of any questions of difficultythere are a few exceptions howevermostly due to things like the mirror cube and the rubiks impossiblethey look different, but are fundamentally the same, however, the way in which they are different makes them more difficult than the standard cube

@ZVCorrupted @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina Hmm, I understand that. I meant more like, are the algorithms particularly different? I can see that for the pyramid one, it should be more or less the same. But for example, the 4x4 cube might not work the same - or does it? I have a hard time picturing it right now.

@jens @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina all of the ones that have a standard grid pattern and are of a higher order than the 3x3, for example 4x4 and 5x5 are based on the standard algorithmthe mirror cube's algorithm is the same, but applied in a different waymost cubes algorithms are based on the standard one, as a rule that holds up about 75% of the timefor cubes of a higher order version of another cube, we use the method of reduction, where we group multiple tiles of the same color together, and they then function as a single tile as it relates to a standard cube of that caliber

@jens @BoredasfSam00 @BoredasfSam0 @Corina bear in mind, you have to be able to solve the standard cube fully, without a problem, if you want to attempt most cubes

@BoredasfSam0 @BoredasfSam00 @ZVCorrupted @Corina I'm closing in on the standard cube :) I have kids that like to mess the cube up, so I get practice.
