@ChristiJunior Its a shame that Pearl was my first ever pokemon game and I was so hyped for over a decade to see it remade on futuristic hardware like with fire-red and soul silver. But when it comes out I've completely lost interest in the pokemon franchise

@Publius Gen 8 has been an absolute disgrace. I know plenty of people dislike Gens 6 and 7 too, but I think they have a lot going for them, despite huge flaws. Gen 8 is just straight up trash.

@azrez This isn't even Game Freak though, they outsourced that remake to another studio, which might be outdoing even Game Freak in terms of incompetence and laziness.

@ArdanianRight Honestly, Gen 4 without Platinum is pretty much the worst Pokemon generation pre-Sword/Shield. Basing that rehash on Diamond/Pearl instead of Platinum was insane from a game experience perspective.Also, the retarded Forced EXP Share completely breaks the game, because apparently the trainers/gym leaders have bare been adjusted, if at all, compared to the game with a reasonable, and optional, EXP Share.

@ChristiJunior I mean the lack of HMs greatly improves the QOL issues that held back base DP, but the fact that it's not the definitive Sinnoh game in any way is disappointing. FRLG and HGSS most definitely were, and ORAS vs Emerald at least has some room for debate, but this looks like it's no contest.

@ChristiJunior @Publius Pokemon's had about 3 or 4 games earning the title of "the worst game in the entire series so far" released in a row. USM was the lowest effort third version the series has had since Yellow, and LGPE looked like it was going to be an unbeatable low point for the series, then S&S somehow managed to be even worse. And now we've got this fisher price abomination.I can't wait to see how much of a shitshow Legends is, because I don't think anyone with an IQ above room temperature expects anything other than a borderline unplayable unfinished mess from that Gamefreak at this point.

@Publius @ChristiJunior Funnily enough, FireRed was my first Pokemon game that I ever played, while Diamond was my second. I was completely confused as to why the quality changed immensely when I was young.
