@LouisConde @AnonymousBosch @NotAFederalAgent What tipped me off about how bullshit the medical establishment was, was a thread on Twitter where a journalist asked people to request itemized medical bills on whatever procedure they needed done in a hospital and send them to him, of the myriad responses he got was an itemized medical bill from a couple whose child was born early and had to be placed in the NICU, and of the roughly 30-45 thousand dollars they had to pay, 5 thousand was for an "infant speech therapist" even though that's a complete fucking oxymoron and makes no since given that they were dealing with preemies. Another example was a journo in SF using her status as a journalist in the SF Chronicle to lower her dads medical bills from several hundred thousand dollars to just under 10k, with her encouraging people to send her their obscene medical bills so she could do the same for them.

@LouisConde @AnonymousBosch @NotAFederalAgent My 10th grade English teacher had 2 twin girls both born premature, he said that they tried to charge him 100k dollars and even the itemized bill left roughly 20-30k completely unaccounted for, this got so absurd that he had to file a lawsuit through his teachers union and was then able to make them reduce the cost by roughly 75-80%. The point he made was that hospitals routinely, and illegally overcharge people with the expectation that said people will just sit back and take it and he encouraged all of us to have our lawyers on speed dial if we ever went into hospitals and seek alternative solutions (home births, specialists, etc) if possible.

One time she sent auditors to track down a kidney specialist who was double-dipping on procedures and prescribing unneeded medications, and the fat fuck literally crawled out her window and to her car to escape being audited by the hospital. They were iffy about receipts, double charged my card to the point I got the billing lady fired, and then I found out that a lot of out of network places milk the shit out of you like this. Of course the in network places are also either booked up or corporate practices.

@Shadowman311 @AnonymousBosch @Boomerman @LouisConde @NotAFederalAgent i knew about this information already because i don't have health insurance (really don't need it) and so if I ever have a seizure and need to be taken to the hospital i know that the closest hospital near me will actually forgive my medical bills. i learned this from my aunt who was a trauma nurse and flight nurse. very useful info to have.

@JSDorn @Vasta218 I find their religion weird and bordering on heresy, but every single Mormon I have met have been extremely nice down to earth people and were overwhelmingly White. I am willing to overlook their religion in favor of the type of person it cultivates.

I was also prescribed medication when I was around 16 for supposed ADD (totally not a B vitamin defficiency I would figure out years later or anything), and the pill did kinda help me focus. But I lost like 10 pounds in a week, got severe anxiety, and attempted suicide for the first time I think.At least I would have died knowing I increased my algebra grade by 2%...
