im so mad man thats such a stupid mistake and its going to cost us a small fortune. im glad i noticed it when i did but this kind of shit cant be happening in production if im expected to expand poast beyond what it is. several TB of data constantly fetched by the main server because it is making rolling backups of a deploy script ive made so we can move poast in future very quickly and easily was allowed to fetch the entirety of our media every single day, sometimes several times a day as it made backups racking up S3 transit costs into the now thousands for just 4 days. we moved endpoints for pleroma and because of this symlinks and several other things changed, one of the changes was re-mounting the media directory via goofys (multithreaded s3fs--highly recommend) with the `allow_other` flag which, instead of just failing on a backup like it would normally, started backing up user media in triplicate all day long. this is such a stupid mistake to make but when you start adding a bunch of hands into an already moving wheel it starts becoming unbalanced and ive learned from this. i wont waste poast funds on this fuck up, ill pay for it out of pocket but im going to start creating workflows for working on shit like this in the future to prevent it. also audio is still broken and im too bothered right now to look into the CORS issue but I do not believe it is caused by this.

@graf won't help what's already happened, but I believe that if you're using AWS S3 you probably can set up alerts for stuff like this via CloudWatch

@graf you mentioned S3 specifically which is why I brought it up. i don't know how you would monitor things like this using minio specifically other than just watching traffic
