@thadius I was a young fatalist, growing up. I was convinced I would die of my own stupidity by 30. Imagine my life's confusion when I was still standing. 30-40 was a weird decade for me.

@thadius I just had little to no reason to believe I would make it past 30 due to a bunch of factors. Mostly behavioral.I didn't have anything that resembled a life plan for after 30.
